Hello Fellow Toastmasters-
We're in the home stretch on the Run For the Roses, just a few yards from the Finish Line of Winning Success For Our Members! Let's make every Club, as much as possible, a Distinguished Club or Better!
Yesterday Toastmasters International updated the Performance Reports for the Distinguished Club Plan, Distinguished Area and Division Plan! Chuck Weck has sent out an email to all Area Govs to indicate what is needed for success in your Clubs and Area! Also, I've updated the DG checklist. Please see attached. We're doing well, but could do better!
You can go to the www.toastmasters.org website, under District Reports and find more detailed Distinguished Club Reports. (This report is best printed in landscape.)
There are many clubs that are only 1, 2 or 3 members short of achieving their membership goal! These clubs are club 6606, 6836, 3152, 5880, 4064, 1026, 9501, 2593, 6109, 672423, 643539, 105, and 8396. Then onto the educationals, which you may already have!
Oh My, there are also clubs that have met their membership goals but not eduationals! Ouch! Let's get those educationals in!!
Area and Division Governors please followup with your Clubs! :-D
Let's keep working until the last minute! The last minute for Faxes are 5:00pm TI time and 11:59pm for electronic entry!
I wish you every success in helping our members achieve their goals!
Best Regards for a Job Well Done! -Lois

3 Presidental Distinguished Divisions! Hello Fellow Toastmaster Leaders! Toastmasters Headquarters has posted the updated District Performance Reports. Divisions A, C and D are all Presidental Distinguished! Division B is Select Distinguished! Congratulations! Hugs, hugs! Let's continue working to help our Clubs become Distinguished Clubs, Select Distinguished, then Presidental Distinguished! We have until Thursday (June 30)! You can do it! Also there will be a Distinguished Clubs and Happy New Year's Party at my house this Saturday July 2nd starting at 4:30 pm. Come drop by and celebrate as a District 12 Family! Catering will be by my favorite Chinese Resturant, my treat! Please feel free to bring a dessert and drinks stronger than sodas! Flyer to follow! Thanks for a job well done and we still have 4 more days to go! District Governor Lois
Hello Fellow Toastmasters!
We're down to a single digit count of the days until the end of the year! Let's keep up the good work in making your club a Distinguished Club or better! Be sure to get the your educational awards and new membership paperwork in by 5:00pm on Thursday, June 30th!
What is the Importance of Being Distinguished? I'm so glad you asked!
I've attached an article written by Past International President Alfred Herzing DTM, "The Importance of Being Distinguished." This article says it all for us! I encourage Area Govs to forward this file to all your club officers and encourage them to forward it to club members. I suggest that the Club President or EVP read this letter to the club at the next club meeting!
FYI - I'll have boxes at TLI this Saturday collecting for new membership and educationals, which I will personally deliver to TI before June 30th! We really want your club to receive recognition as a successful club, that means Distinguished or Better.
Congratulations to our successful Clubs! We are so proud of you! If you're Distinguished we encourage you to work to become Select Distinguished, then President's Distinguished. You will get a ribbon for your club banner and we will sing your praises throughout District 12 and at the Fall District Conference at the Hall of Fame Luncheon. (Looks good on a resume also, that you were part of a winning team!)
Currently we have the following Distinguished Club Status reported by TI:
Distinguished Clubs: 2330,1124,1043, 8704, 5170, 7187, 6972, and 8950.
Select Distinguished (even better!): 130, 815, 6642, 2169, 7917, 4039, 8486, 1255, 692542, 2528 and 4209.
President's Distinguished (even better yet!): 7213, 168, 1348, 1041, and 290.
Congratulations to Areas A1, A3, A5, C2, D1, D3, and D4 for being Distinguished Areas, and a Special Congratulations to the Area D2 Team with leader Polly Pflaumer for leading a Presidential Distinguished Area!
Congratulations to Division A for Select Distinguished (Soon to be Presidential Distinguished when the new Inland Valley Icebreakers TM Club posts); and Division D for being Presidential Distinguished Division! Keep working hard Division C and Division B. You can do it!
Area Govs, please forward to your Club Presidents and EVPs.
Thanks! District Governor Lois Download a copy of Alfred Herzing's article in Microsoft Word format
