Toastmasters: From Local Acorn to Global Oak Tree!

The first Toastmasters Club was founded by Ralph Smedley in 1924 and met in the basement of the Santa Ana YMCA.   Smedley's dream was to provide a friendly environment where people could learn to master and overcome their fear of public speaking.  86 years later Toastmasters International has become the world's premier organization for teaching both speaking and leadership skills and today serves over 250,000 members in 106 countries.

Toastmasters International is structured into 14 global Regions each consisting of 6 to 9 Districts which provide service leadership to Divisions, then to Areas, to Clubs, and most importantly to the individual member.  To learn more about the amazing Toastmasters story, click here.
